NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Knicks fans are holding out hope that their team can pull off a win and come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Despite the do-or-die scenario for Thursday night's game, fans like Sal Nefedro said, "Hopefully they win, that's all I want. I just want them to win, to be honest."
At the NBA store on 5th Avenue, people were buying up Knicks sports gear ahead of Game 5. Kevin Peters and his son Christian came from Australia to see the game. The elder Peters said, "They'll keep it alive, you can do anything in sport."
Downtown in Tribeca, Molly McCaffrey is working on designs for next year's Knicks season and perhaps some championship gear. She is the head of design for Terez, a New York City-based clothing line that has a license to make official gear for the NBA.
McCaffrey told PIX11 News, "We do everything from outerwear to ready-to-wear tank tops, dresses, and fun things like that for girls. What's been fascinating for us is that men are now shopping in our section at the Garden, or on our website, so we're transitioning into clothing for everywhere."
As for the Knicks' chances of advancing in the series? McCaffrey said, "I'm hoping they don't need a miracle, but once they're back at home, it's going to be a really great game."
