High school basketball reigns supreme in Indiana, and for good reason. Legends like John Wooden, Larry Bird and Oscar Robertson called the Hoosier State home at one point, first carving their legacies on the hardwood.
However, while basketball is king, it doesn't mean the rest of the sports in the state take a backseat. From national champions in football to a team swimming record that may never be surpassed, high school sports is the lifeblood of the Hoosier State (along with auto racing, of course).
With that in mind, which Indiana high schools are currently the best for athletes?
According to one study, which accounts for survey feedback from students and parents—accounting for "reviews of athletics, number of state championships, student participation in athletics, and the number of sports offered at the school"—and data from the U.S. Department of Education, these are the top 25.
