T Harish Rao wants Hyderabad as joint capital

HYDERABAD: Former minister T Harish Rao said there appeared to be a

conspiracy

to extend the

joint capital

status of Hyderabad for Andhra Pradesh and

Telangana

.
He said by June 2, the common capital status must end as per the

AP Reorganisation Act 2014

. “I suspect

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu

wants extension of the common capital. This can be stopped only if the

BRS

wins a good number of seats in the

Lok Sabha elections

so that its voice can be heard,” Harish said on Friday.

Campaigning in Karimnagar for B Vinod Kumar, Harish said the

BJP govt

at the Centre too failed and did not keep its poll promises. In Andhra Pradesh where assembly polls are being held along with LS polls, TDP has a tie-up with BJP.
