EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- The NYPD is investigating a stabbing that happened in East Village early Sunday morning.
The incident happened around St. Mark's Place and Avenue A around 3:40 a.m.
Two men, a 23-year-old and a 26-year-old, were both stabbed in the back with a cutting instrument, according to the NYPD.
The stabbing resulted from a verbal dispute, police say. The suspect is described as a male with a face tattoo wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans.
The victims were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
