Suryakumar video-calls his wife from stadium after match-winning hundred

In an adorable gesture, Suryakumar Yadav was spotted video-calling his wife Devisha Shetty after scoring a match-winning century against SRH. Suryakumar roared back to form with his scintillating knock of 102 runs that propelled MI to an emphatic win by 7 wickets against SRH at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 6, Monday. The much-needed win uplifted MI from the bottom of the table as they stand at the 9th position in the points table.

The official social media handle of the MI franchise posted a special video featuring Suryakumar and his 'lady luck' Devisha. The MI batter said that whenever Adhatrao attends the match, he scores a century. Devisha also mentioned Adhatrao claiming his catch from the stands after Suryakumar slammed a six. Devisha looked ecstatic as Surykaumar played an unbeaten innings to guide his team towards a much-needed win. SURYAKUMAR'S BLITZKRIEG AT WANKHEDE

A special knock from Suryakumar lit up the sky at the Wankhede Stadium as he was adjudged as the Player of the Match. He joined the elite list of players with most hundreds in T20s by Indians i.e. 6, which included the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He became the 2nd MI batter after Rohit to score multiple hundreds for the 5-time champions.

Suryakumar achieved this feat in 51 balls as he slammed T Natrajan for a massive six in the 18th over of the match. He finished off the game in style for MI as they completed the chase of 174 runs within 17.2 overs. Suryakumar had shared an unbeaten stand of 143 runs with Tilak Varma as the duo steadied MI's ship after the early loss of wickets.
