(BMC) and traffic police yet to be seen in action, as central dedicated corridor is being dismantled completed three days.
Encroachments took a dangerous shape when a pandal was erected on Roshapura stretch of BRTS. The location is metres away from the police check post at New Market intersection. The pandal was set up right on the road. JCB machine was digging off the cemented barriers of the corridor. Moving traffic had to navigate between the tent and JCB machines with no agency taking a call to clear the interruption on high-density traffic road.
Encroachments along the BRTS are yet to removed. Some of the most prominent are next to Bhopal collector's office. On the side dedicated lane across the collectorate, dozens of commercial business have set shop, occupying the main road.
Non-dedicated track of BRTS, near Sadar Manzil which is the route towards Hamidia hospital, has been encroached by local residents. Some of the barriers used to park vehicles were procured by Bhopal police.

When contacted, BMC anti encroachment wing in charge, Vineet Tiwari did not respond. Roshapura BRTS road is not directly under one police station. One side falls under New Market police station and other under Arera Hills police station. The two areas also have different ACPs. Often complaints are differed by one area police station to another.
