Smart City Development Limited (

IPSCDL

) has announced that the internal

roads

in

St Inez

, excluding the stretch from Caculo Mall to the Tonca Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP), will be opened to the public on May 28 at 9pm.
In a statement issued on Saturday, IPSCDL said that the newly constructed stretches spanning 1.5km, as part of the smart road project, will be thrown open for traffic ahead of the May 31 deadline set by govt.

These include the road from Vivanta junction to Sheetal junction, further connecting to Madhuban junction and the road from Sheetal junction to Caculo Mall junction.
The opening of these roads will ease the flow of traffic on Dayanand Bandodkar road.
IPSCDL said that this will allow them to simultaneously close the Caculo Mall junction for traffic to complete the highly complex work under way at the site. This work is proposed to be completed by May 31 and the junction would be opened by June 7 on completion of the concrete curing period.

“We are pleased to open the improved roads in St Inez developed under the Smart City initiative,” said IPSCDL chief executing officer Sanjit Rodrigues.
“These enhancements, including road widening and various infrastructure upgrades, are a significant step forward. We are grateful to the people of St Inez for their support and patience in making this infrastructure development initiative a success,” he said.
