SRH have handed a debut for Vijayakanth Viyaskanth for the clash against LSG while Lucknow have welcomed back Quinton de Kock to their lineup. Viyaskanth was roped in by SRH as a replacement for Wanindu Hasaranga, who had to pull out of the campaign due to injury. Viyaskanth, 22, represented Sri Lanka in one T20I at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou and impressed for MI Emirates in the ILT20, taking eight wickets in four games.
SRH had paid 50 Lakhs for the services of Viyaskanth and it will be interesting to see how he would do against the LSG side. Lucknow had won the toss on the day and brought back De Kock, who had missed the last two games due to injury. LSG used Arshin Kulkarni as the opener, and the youngster didn't have the best of times with the bat. They will also be without Mohsin Khan, who was injured during the game against KKR.
SRH also brought in Sanvir Singh instead of Mayank Agarwal. Sanvir was the impact sub for SRH in their loss to MI recently. LSG have brought in Krishnappa Gowtham in their side as well. It's a must-win game for both teams as they look to continue their hunt for a playoff spot. Both teams have 12 points at the moment.
