The PlayStation 5 has been around since 2021 and for the first two years, there was a massive shortage of the console. Shortly after the PS5 shortage was officially over, rumours of the Pro model began surfacing. Some early rumours had suggested that the PS5 Pro would be coming with liquid cooling, giving stiff competition to high-end PCs. Rumours had also suggested that the PS5 Pro would get a major performance upgrade. And now, as per fresh reports, Sony might start granting labels to certain games.

According to reports from InsiderGaming, Sony is set to introduce a new PS5 Pro Enhanced label, signalling games optimised to harness the console's enhanced capabilities. Dubbed internally as Trinity Enhanced, this label is expected to serve as a mark of distinction for titles offering a PS5 Pro graphics mode, featuring enhancements like PSSR for 4K upscaling, a consistent 60 frames-per-second framerate, and enhanced ray-tracing capabilities.

Similar to the PS4 Pro Enhanced label of the previous generation, the Trinity Enhanced label will inform players when a game has been optimised specifically for the PS5 Pro hardware. This includes improvements in graphics performance and resolution, providing gamers with a superior visual experience.

With that being said, the PS5 Pro is expected to hit the Indian markets later this year. YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead had earlier said that he got hold of a technical document for the PS5 Pro, nicknamed Trinity. On the other hand, Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming had also said that the console was likely to be launched during the holiday season this year.

Coming to the expected specifications of the PS5 Pro, reports suggest significant upgrades over its predecessor. With reports hinting at a potential launch towards the end of 2024, gamers can anticipate enhancements such as a 10-percent-higher-clocked CPU, 28 percent faster memory, and up to a 45 percent rendering performance improvement. These improvements are expected to result in smoother gameplay, faster load times, and enhanced graphical fidelity.

While expectations are high for the PS5 Pro, reports indicate that gamers should not anticipate titles like GTA 6 to run at 60 frames per second on the Pro iteration of the PS5. However, the console is anticipated to deliver improved 4K performance and may even introduce a new 8K performance mode.

Overall, anticipation continues to build for the release of the PS5 Pro, with gamers eagerly awaiting confirmation of its specifications and features. As Sony prepares to unveil its next-generation console, enthusiasts remain hopeful for a gaming experience that pushes the boundaries of performance and immersion.
