Soldier dies, three others injured in a road accident in Baramulla

An army personnel died and three other soldiers were injured after their vehicle met with an accident in Baramulla district on Thursday.

A soldier lost his life while three others were injured in a road accident in Torna Uri area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Thursday.

A police official said that an Army vehicle met with an accident in Torna Uri. Havildar Mohammed Sagir died on the spot while three other soldiers were injured in the accident.

He said that the three injured Army personnel were evacuated with the help of a chopper to 92 base Srinagar and taken to hospital for treatment.

The mortal remains of Havildar Sagir were brought to the hospital for legal and medical formalities.

A case has been registered and an investigation has been taken up in the matter, the senior police official added.
