AGRA: No more travel woes for Agra patients in need of

plastic surgery

) has recently made significant strides in the field by reattaching the severed index finger of a minor girl. Led by

, a team of doctors performed the complex surgery, resulting in the full functionality of the finger.
SNMC spokesperson Dr Preeti Bhardwaj said that a seven-year-old girl from Fatehpur Sikri visited the hospital on March 31 with her

“Under the guidance of

Dr Prashant Lavaniya

, the head of the

surgery

department, the team performed the emergency operation within three hours to reattach the finger and restore blood circulation. The family is extremely happy with the outcome,” she said.
Dr Prashant Gupta

, the principal of SN Medical College, stressed the importance of such advanced medical services being available locally. He said, “The success of the hospital in performing complex surgeries like this one eliminates the need for patients from Agra and nearby districts to seek treatment in cities like Delhi or Jaipur.”
