Actor and voice artist Sharad Kelkar said that his daughter, Kesha, had watched only one of his films, which is 'Adipurush'. In an interview with IndiaToday.In, he said that his daughter doesn't know much about his career. He is known for his versatility and powerful performances in films like 'Tanhaji', 'Srikanth' and 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga' amongst others.
Despite his extensive body of work in the industry, Kelkar revealed a surprising fact about his daughter, Kesha. He said that she had only watched one of his films, and that is 'Adipurush'.
In the interview, Kelkar spoke warmly about his relationship with Kesha. He said, "My daughter doesn't value me because she doesn't watch anything that I've done. She doesn't watch films or TV, so she doesn't know what I've done in my life. Because the day she starts noticing and taking advantage of it, it's in a wrong zone. So, it's better if she is as innocent as she is - she should be like that till the age when she gets to know what her father does and what his craft is. Whenever the right time is, I will introduce her to this craft or the image that I have in the market. I don't want her to lose that innocence, because kids should behave their age. She's going the right way. So she doesn't watch anything, but she knows it's my voice."
He further added, "She has not even watched ‘Baahubali’. The only film she watched was ‘Adipurush’ and a few animation films with no violence in them. But now she is at her age, so I'll start showing her. I just showed her some action comedies. So slowly and gradually she will start watching."
When asked about Kesha’s reaction to 'Adipurush', Kelkar shared an endearing account. “She was fascinated and particularly thrilled to recognise her father’s voice,” he said.
Sharad Kelkar began his career in television with popular shows like 'Saat Phere' and 'Bairi Piya'. His transition to films saw him take on varied roles, from intense dramas to voice acting in major productions like 'Baahubali'. His portrayal of historical and mythological characters, especially his voice work, has garnered critical acclaim.
