The team is currently stationed at the Armed Forces Ground in Tirunelveli, ready to be deployed to areas affected by heavy rainfall.

A total of 300 personnel, divided into 10 groups of 30 each, are camped in these districts. The teams are on high alert due to an orange alert for moderate rain in Tamil Nadu from May 17-19 and a red alert for heavy rain on May 20.
