NEW DELHI: A

tragic accident

occurred in New Delhi on Friday morning when a bus carrying 42

school children

collided with a scooty and an

auto rickshaw

near ITO, resulting in the death of a man and injuries to five others, including three school children.
The bus driver, Shiv Kumar, failed to stop at the red light, causing the collision. The man identified as

Abhishek Jain

, the auto driver Mahesh Kumar, and the bus driver sustained injuries.

Additionally, three school children aged between 11 and 15 also suffered minor injuries.
The injured were promptly taken to a hospital, where Abhishek Jain was pronounced dead upon arrival. Jain, a resident of Brahmpuri, was on his way to AIIMS when the accident occurred. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at LNJP hospital. Authorities have registered a case at the IP Estate police station and notified the families of the deceased and injured individuals.
