is set to expand its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the

Galaxy F55

model. The South Korean tech giant recently shared a post on social media platform X (earlier Twitter) to confirm that the smartphone will be launched in the country soon. The X post also reveals the design and the colour options of the upcoming smartphone.

Apart from this, a microsite of the

has also gone live on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

Samsung Galaxy F55 5G: Confirmed design details

The X post includes a short clip that teases the

Samsung Galaxy

F55 5G. The video shows that the upcoming smartphone’s rear panel will include a vegan leather finish and a saddle stitch pattern.
As per the Flipkart microsite, the Galaxy F55 will be the slimmest and lightest smartphone to come with a vegan leather finish in 2024.

The smartphone will be available in two colour options -- Apricot Crush and Raisin Black. The Galaxy F55 will also come with a triple-rear camera setup which will be placed in a straight line.

Samsung Galaxy F55 5G: What to expect

According to a report by GizmoChina, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus panel that may support Full-HD+ resolution.
The smartphone is also likely to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which may be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For photography, the smartphone may house a 50 MP main camera with OIS support, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front, the smartphone may feature a 50 MP selfie camera.
The Galaxy F55 5G may also pack a 5000 mAh battery unit that is likely to support 25W wired fast charging. The smartphone is also expected to run Samsung One UI 6.0 based on Android 14.
