, on Tuesday. He said he would resolve all problems of
Patiala
constituency, including flooding by the Ghaggar river.
He said he will ensure that the issue of Ghaggar was resolved by acquiring land along the river at market rate, so that its banks could be widened and fortified.
"I will ensure water in the river is not polluted," he said, adding that check dams will also be constructed to check the flow of additional water. "I will ensure that 300 farmers of 24 villages whose land has been acquired for northern bypass get compensation as per prevailing market rates; and ensure that service lanes are constructed with all expressways being constructed in the constituency," said Sharma.
