Rumblings of discontent

began in Bengal BJP on Wednesday, within 24 hours of its poor showing in the state, led by party seniors like Dilip Ghosh, Sukanta Majumdar and Saumitra Khan. The principal target of their ire seemed to be leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari, reports Rohit Khanna. Ghosh, who had steered BJP from two MPs and one MLA to 18 MPs and 77 MLAs in four years during his tenure as state party president, alleged "backstabbing" and "

"We have stopped growing in Bengal after 2021.

The growth of the party in the state was being discussed across India. That has lost steam somewhere," Ghosh said.
