RTE Health Summit 2024: Experts discuss how digital healthcare empowers Indians across the country

NEW DELHI: A group of experts who helmed the Times of India

" in a series of panel discussions and fireside chats.
Dr. Sandeep Budhiraja, from Max Healthcare, said digital healthcare needs to include everyone. 'Ideally, the patient's centricity is the focus in digital

health

', he said.

He talked about making sure these

platforms

are easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities. Dr. Budhiraja said Covid has renewed the importance of digital healthcare. He also said it's important for digital healthcare to be 'user friendly' for everyone to access.
Dr. Ajay Kaul, from Fortis Heart & Vascular Institute, Noida, also thinks digital healthcare is a game-changer. He talked about how important it is for everyone to be able to get healthcare, no matter where they live. 'The digital experience has given us the freedom to experience healthcare from the comfort our homes', he said. He also stressed the importance of the digital health platforms, especially given that the fact Indians possess the second largest number of phones in the world.
Kabir Mahajan, from Mahajan Imaging & Labs and NATHEALTH - Healthcare Federation of India, talked about how digital healthcare and AI is changing radiology. He explained how AI is integrated in present days CT scan mechanisms.

On various technologies used in scanning, he said "AI has played a big role in radiology since it already uses digitized images.'
Rishabh Jain, from The Wellness Co., thinks digital platforms can help you make better choices about your health. He said these platforms give you lots of information about staying healthy, like exercise programs and trackers to keep you on track. 'It is an exciting time to leverage the opportunities brought together by AI, he said. He also pointed out to different apps that provide consultation on food, healthcare and wellness.
Leading the discussion, Dr. Arjun Dang, CEO of Dr. Dang Lab, said everyone needs to work together to make digital healthcare the best it can be. He talked about how important it is for healthcare providers, tech companies, and policymakers to work together to solve problems like keeping your data safe and making sure everyone has access to digital healthcare.
