In a hilarious interaction with popular comedian Kapil Sharma, India captain Rohit Sharma named two teammates that he would never share a room with. Rohit and Shreyas Iyer were guest on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they indulged in light-hearted conversations with the host. In one such conversation with Kapil, Rohit joked that he would never share a room with PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan and DC skipper Rishabh Pant, while calling them messy. Rohit has shared the locker room with both Dhawan and Pant during their time in the Indian team.

Speaking to Kapil during one of their special segments, Rohit joked that he would never share a room with Dhawan and Pant, saying they’re messy and don’t get their rooms cleaned for three or four days. Rohit is currently playing for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League and will lead India in the subsequent 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.

“Everyone gets a single room nowadays. But if I get a chance to share a single room, there are two people with whom I wouldn't want to share rooms with - Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. Bade gande hai (They are very messy). After practice, they just toss their clothes on the bed,” said Rohit.

“Their room is always on DND because they sleep till 1PM. The housekeeping staff that comes in the morning to clean their rooms, so it's important for them to put their rooms on DND. Otherwise, they will barge in. That's why their rooms often stay messy for three to four days. It becomes a problem for the people staying around them. So, I don't think I will be able to stay with them,” Rohit added.

Rohit also spoke about India’s loss in the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia, saying he expected the fans to be angry at them for losing the World Cup at home but was surprised by the support he received. India won 10 matches in a row before losing the World Cup final to Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“I was thinking that the World Cup took place in our country but still we couldn’t win. I felt the nation might be angry with us. But I only heard people praising how well we played, and how they enjoyed watching that cricket,” said Rohit.

Rohit will be in action when Mumbai takes on Delhi at the Wankhede Stadium in the league stage of IPL 2024 on Sunday, April 7.
