CHENNAI: NDA ally and
TMC chief
G K
Vasan
on Saturday appealed to
regional parties
“with a
national outlook
to think and take a good decision" to ensure a third consecutive term for Narendra Modi-led NDA and for the country's “well-being”.
He was talking to reporters in the presence of BJP's alliance committee members, including former Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan, BJP MLAs Nainar Nagendran and Vanathi Srinivasan.
Asked about NDA’s potential allies in Tamil Nadu, particularly PMK and DMDK, Vasan said, “I hope good things happen. As I have already stated, regional parties with national outlook must support Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When he continues for a third term, schemes will continue and the country will prosper,” Vasan said. TMC would constitute a committee to negotiate with BJP’s seven-member committee for seats after Modi’s visit to Chennai on March 4.
He said people would teach DMK govt a fitting lesson for its failure to check drug menace.
