launched AI-enabled formal degree programs in
animation

design

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, said that experienced professionals in animation, design, and AI have collaborated to spearhead this initiative, “positioning Rayat Bahra University at the forefront of innovation.”
It was made possible by Prof Parminder Singh Roobal, an animation and design professional known for introducing Hollywood quality 3D character animation education to India and possessing a profound passion for AI technology, Bahra said.
“This is a game-changing step in Visual Design education that will carve the path forward in this altered landscape of the
Generative AI
world,” he added.
With options ranging from comprehensive 4-year Degree programmes to shorter diploma and certificate courses, aligned with the national education policies and multiple exit pathways, Rayat Bahra University sets a new standard for creative education in the digital age.
Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of RBU, said since the launch of ChatGPT on November 30th, 2022, the year 2023 has witnessed a surge in Generative AI tools, transforming the creative landscape. These tools have been utilized to create stunning visuals, paintings, and graphics, with some even attempting to generate moving images.
