Nitish Rana has returned to KKR’s playing XI for the IPL 2024 match against Hardik Pandya’s MI on Saturday, May 11 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Rana has been a crucial member of the KKR team since the 2018 edition, but has played only 1 game this season, back in March 23 against Pat Cummins’ SRH in Kolkata.
Rana replaced Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who has racked up 163 runs from 10 matches at an average of 23.28 and a strike-rate of 155.23 with a top score of 54. Raghuvanshi, instead, has been included as one of the 5 Impact Sub options for the Knight Riders.

KKR are yet to make their way through to the playoffs, but a win against the 5-time champions in the City of Joy would ensure the same.
MI, on the other hand, did not make a change to their playing XI. They beat SRH last time at the Wankhede Stadium, but later became the first team to be knocked out of the competition.
KKR beat MI by 24 runs when the 2 teams last met on May 3 at the Wankhede. Venkatesh Iyer won the Player of the Match award after he scored 70 runs off 52 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes.
