Queens Pride Parade to kick off Pride Month in NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Pride Month officially begins on Sunday, June 1st, and The Queens Pride Parade is kicking off the season.

Over 50,000 people are expected to attend the celebration in Jackson Heights.

A parade will proceed down 37th Avenue to 75th Street, followed by a five-hour multicultural street festival. Over 140 groups, colorful floats, and elected officials like Mayor Eric Adams are expected to attend.

The Queens Pride Parade is one of the most diverse LGBTQ+ events in the nation, officials said.

This is the 33rd installment of the event.
