Preneet Kaur
, wife of former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, joined the BJP on Thursday. Preneet, who is MP from Patiala, was suspended by the
Congress
for anti-party activities and helping the BJP.
Amarinder Singh
had left Congress in September 2022 and joined the BJP. Subsequently, he also merged his party Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) with the BJP.
