Police arrest accused in murder case on the run since 8 months

police arrested a man, who was wanted in a

murder case

for the past eight months. The

accused

is identified as Vijay Patil.
Vijay Patil was wanted in the murder case of a person who ran a puncture shop in the Adgaon area.
Patil and his two friends killed the puncture shop operator only because the latter had not filled air in tyre of their two-wheeler on time.

The Adgaon police had registered a case of murder against the trio on April 30, 2023.

While Patil had escaped from the scene, the other two accused were arrested.

On January 3, a police naik Vishal Kathe received information that a person carrying a sharp weapon in his hand was shouting at people and threatening them of dire consequences near the Batuk Hanuman temple.
After PI Vijay Dhamal of crime branch unit 1 formed a team and sent it to the concerned spot, the policemen identified the accused as Vijay Patil who was wanted in the April 30 murder case.

He was immediately arrested with the knife.
The Adgaon police are investigating the case.
