The Poco F6 has been launched in India and the mid-range device is all set to go on sale for the first time in India on May 29. It is the first device in the country to pack Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip under the hood. This makes the iQOO Neo 9 Pro and Realme GT 6T its direct competitor, although these are priced a little higher over the Poco phone. Here are 4 reasons to buy the Poco F6 and 1 to skip it.

Poco F6: India price details

The newly launched Poco F6 is priced at Rs 29,999, but interested consumers can buy the new Poco phone at an effective price of Rs 27,999 with ICICI bank cards. The offer is available through Flipkart. This price is for the 256GB storage model. But should you even buy it? Read on to find out.

Poco F6 launched in India under Rs 30,000: 4 reasons to buy

-One of the major reasons to buy the Poco F6 is its performance. Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip is able to offer performance as close as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, making the Poco F6 one of the best-performing devices in its price range. On the Antutu benchmarking platform, the Poco F6 has scored 1.5 million, whereas the iQOO Neo 9 Pro (with SD 8 Gen 2) has managed to get a score of 1.6 million. However, do keep in mind that the Poco device gets quite warm after about an hour of heavy gaming.

-Our internal testing has revealed the camera performance of the device is also good enough. The daylight photos are attractive and the colours produced are almost accurate. The details are better captured with the 50MP mode because the regular photo mode images are not as detailed and are pretty soft. It can also take good portrait shots with sharpness level, colours, and details mostly on point, depending on the light metering.

-The Poco F6 offers a lightweight design and comes with a solid screen. It features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, offering a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Widevine L1, ensuring vibrant colours and a good viewing experience. With a peak brightness of 2,400nits and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, the display quality is good in its price range.

Poco F6: 1 reason to skip

-If you don't like bloatware, then you can skip buying this device. It comes with a lot of third-party apps. While you can remove most of them, it is quite difficult to avoid the random ads that it displays in the user interface. This is specifically visible after opening the app drawer on the device and tapping on the search button for apps. I saw an Amazon ad and names of a few apps that HyperOS is recommending to use. I could also see the annoying wallpapers on the lock screen. Thankfully, I had the option to disable this feature. But, a clean user interface would help offer a better experience.
