Yogi

Adityanath made a special appeal to

Dalits

and

OBCs

, reminding them of all the work that has been done for their communities under

PM

Narendra Modi. He said BJP had worked without any bias to ensure development and respect for all communities and sections of society.

“The new international airport at Ayodhya had been named after Maharishi Valmiki while one station at the newly inaugurated Agra Metro had been named after Dr BR Ambedkar.

A statue of Sant Ravidas had been inaugurated in Varanasi while the Bijli Pasi Qila in Lucknow had been renovated by the BJP govt and a university in Azamgarh had been named after Maharaja Suheldev. This shows how BJP had worked without any bias to ensure development and respect for all communities and sections of society,” CM Yogi said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working for the upliftment of the oppressed. Now, Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar is getting respect. Respect for him means respect for the oppressed sections of society. In the past 10 years, we have witnessed a new India under the PM. This is an India which is not based on caste, community, religion or language but where work is being done to provide a respectable life to every villager, poor, farmer, youth and women and to help them mo ve forward in life,” the CM said, adding that the mantra that is being followed is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
Elaborating on the steps taken by the govt to improve the lives of SCs and OBCs, the CM said that even after Independence, Indian society had been oppressed and deprived. The PM, he said, had announced a ‘Panch Teerth’ in the name of Dr Ambedkar and that “respect for Ambedkar meant respect for the Constitution, respect for constitutional processes and thousands of people who have been oppressed”.

“The international airport at Ayodhya has been na med after Maharishi Valmiki. This is the first time that an international airport has been named after Valmiki. Varanasi is the land of Sant Ravidas. This land was earlier disputed and earlier govts could not do anything about it. When Modi became an MP from Varanasi, he decided to do something about it and the result is that he inaugurated a 25-foot-high idol of Sant Ravidas. A grand park and museum are also under construction,” he said.

The CM said that Modi had worked towards ensuring that everyone gets their rights.
As a result, every poor and oppressed person had a house and a toilet. They had better health facilities. The beneficiaries were that section of society that had always sacrificed itself for the country and for religion.
“With inspiration from PM Modi, we decided that in UP, the scholarship money for SC students will double from what it was in 2016. In UP, we are giving land rights to people where they have been living. If they are on reserved land, then they are giving land somewhere else and rehabilitated,” he added.
