CORONA, Queens (PIX11) -- Police are looking for a man who attacked an on-duty NYPD officer from a train platform in Queens on Monday, according to authorities.
A man threw a glass bottle off the platform on the eastbound No. 7 train at the 103 Street–Corona Plaza station around 2 a.m., according to officials. The bottle hit the officer in the head as he stood on the street below the station's platform.
The bottle caused the officer to have a cut on their head and a concussion, according to police. They were taken to the hospital and expected to recover.

Police said the suspect ran in an unknown direction and is described as being 28 to 35 years old with a medium build.
