NYC subway operator hit in head with bottle: police

MOUNT EDEN, the Bronx (PIX11) – A subway train operator was hit in the head with a bottle while on the job in the Bronx Wednesday, police said.

The incident happened at the subway station at Jerome Avenue and East 170th Street in Mount Eden around 11:50 a.m., according to the NYPD.

After getting hit with the bottle, the 38-year-old victim continued operating the No. 4 train southbound to the next station where she got help, according to police. The woman then went to a hospital, authorities said.
