NYC farmers markets are hiring seasonal workers

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – With spring around the corner, New York City’s farmers markets are hiring. 

On April 1, non-profit GrowNYC will host a job fair to find seasonal workers for its Greenmarket farmers markets and Farmstands over the spring and summer.

The positions are available from May to November and require outdoor work for job-seekers over 18 years old. The work will require some heavy lifting and weekend availability, according to GrowNYC. 

Applicants who speak multiple languages and have a valid New York State Drivers license are preferred. 

The job fair starts at 5 p.m. on April 1 online. At the fair, job-seekers can meet staff and ask questions about the open jobs. To register for the job fair, click here.

GrowNYC hosts Greenmarkets and Farmstands across the city, including the Upper East Side, Bed-Stuy, Carroll Gardens, Cortelyou, Columbia University and more.
