NEW YORK (PIX11) – Finding an affordable apartment while having a pet can be a challenge in New York City.

NYC Housing Connect, an online portal that showcases affordable rentals and homes across all five boroughs, reveals what lotteries allow for pets in its listings.

  • CORE NYC: Two pets with a 40-pound weight limit permitted per unit, with some breed restrictions; exceptions are made for service animals. Fish tanks are not allowed.
  • Eagle Loft Collection Phase 2: Two cats or one dog allowed per apartment, with a weight limit of 50 pounds. Some breeds are restricted.
  • 20 & 30 Halletts Point Apartments: Pets are permitted with size and breed restrictions.
  • 2-21 Malt Drive Apartments: Two pets, up to 75 pounds each, are permitted per household. There are breed restrictions.
