NEW YORK (PIX11) -- New York City will text you when jobs become available that fit your preferences.
The Text-2-Work program is offered by the Human Resources Administration. Once you fill out the form on the website listing your qualifications and desired career fields you will start receiving texts when new job opportunities become available.
The program is free although cellphone providers texts rates may apply, according to the department's website.
You can also sign up by texting "JOBS" to 877-877.
