Nelson Dilipkumar

’s 2023 blockbuster hit film '

Jailer

,' starring Superstar Rajinikanth, has been creating headlines for the mass entertaining vibe the film has offered to the audience. Now, Nelson has talked about the

smoking scene

in the film, which

Rajinikanth

was not sure about initially but later decided to add.
In a recent interview with Behindwoods, Nelson was shown a particular snap from the movie in which Rajinikanth was smoking and looking stylish like his classic smoking scenes from old films. Nelson responded to the picture, saying, “this is one of the most favorite shots from the movie. I like the lighting, mood, and Rajini sir’s style in this one. I said to my DOP (Cinematographer) after this shot that he has done wonderful work.”

Nelson added that they had taken the shot when there were barely ten days to wrap up the shoot. He called this picture ‘Total fire’ and used to check this picture often on his phone. While mentioning that the superstar was seen in such a smoking scene after so long and that really satisfied fans to a great extent, Nelson admitted that he had taken a reference from the 1995 film of Rajini, ‘Baashha,’ and more to give maximum justice to this shot.

At the same time, Rajinikanth told Nelson that if the movie really needs that shot, we can take it, but don’t do it unnecessarily. But when Mohanlal and

Shiva Rajkumar

had an action flick cameo appearance in the film, Rajinikanth had to take the movie further with his signature smoking scene. So Nelson was sure about the theatrical acceptance of this scene.
