of life, both on-screen and off. In a recent interview, he opened up about the persistent taunts and discrimination he has faced due to his looks. Despite

societal prejudice

, Nawazuddin has carved a niche for himself in Bollywood, earning respect and a multitude of diverse roles.

Reflecting on the bias he has encountered, Nawazuddin Siddiqui while talking to News18 shared that he often wondered why people harbor such disdain for appearances like mine. “Perhaps it’s because we don’t fit the conventional standards of beauty. Even when I look in the mirror, I sometimes question my presence in the film industry given my looks,” mentioned the ‘Badlapur’ fame actor.
He candidly admitted that the constant negative feedback has led him to internalize these criticisms. “I’ve heard it so often that I’ve started to believe I’m the

ugliest actor

in the industry. However, I hold no grudges against the film industry itself,” he said.

Nawaz also expressed gratitude towards Bollywood for recognizing his talent and helping him with opportunities to portray a variety of characters. He admitted that though society discriminates, the film industry is different. In his experience, if one has even a bit of talent, the industry offers him or her a lot.
