, shared on social media that his father has been moved to the ICU at the medical college.
Umar expressed concern about Mukhtar's serious condition due to a urinary infection. Sources revealed that Mukhtar Ansari was transferred to the district hospital at 1 am and subsequently to the ICU for surgery based on doctors' advice. Security has been tightened outside the hospital premises. Mukhtar Ansari, a five-time MLA from Mau constituency, is facing around 60 pending cases in multiple states.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment for using forged documents to obtain an arms license in 1990, marking his eighth conviction in the past two years. The Varanasi MP/MLA court pronounced the sentence under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
The case, dating back to 1990, alleged a conspiracy to acquire a firearm license through fraudulent means. Mukhtar Ansari and others were accused of forging signatures of officials. The charge-sheet was filed in 1997, leading to the recent sentencing. Mukhtar Ansari's health condition remains critical, prompting concerns and prayers from his supporters and associates.
