THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police and the Department of Sanitation are towing away abandoned vehicles across the city in an effort to clear the streets.
More than 40 abandoned vehicles, including several boats, were removed in the Bronx, according to officials.
Officials remind New Yorkers that if they abandon a vehicle, including a car, truck, trailer or boat on public property, they could face a fine of up to $1,000.
If you spot an abandoned vehicle, you can report it to the city on the 311 app.
