NASHIK: PM Narendra

Modi

Friday said Sharad

Pawar

and

Uddhav

Thackeray should join the

NCP

and

Shiv Sena

led by Ajit Pawar and

Eknath Shinde

respectively, to fulfil their

political aspirations

instead of merging with the Congress. Pawar reacted in Pune, saying he could never go with Modi and allies who had no belief in parliamentary democracy.
At a

rally

in Nandurbar, Modi without naming Pawar said after the voting in Baramati, a politician whose political career spans 40 years has become "extremely concerned".

"The senior politician after the voting in Baramati said small regional parties should merge with Congress ...shows he is disappointed and to remain relevant...he has suggested this," he said.
"I am sure the 'nakli' (fake) NCP (SP) and 'nakli' Shiv Sena have firmed up plans to merge with Congress after June 4. But such a merger will spell doom for both," he said asking them to join Shinde and Ajit Pawar instead.
Balasaheb would be pained to see what UBT is into: PM

Modi said, “Congress has been saying ‘Modi, teri kabr khudegi,’ and the fake Shiv Sena recently declared I will be buried alive. These parties choose words that make their votebank happy. But my political opponents should know that I have the blessings of ‘matrushakti’ to protect me.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut had stoked controversy recently by drawing a parallel between Aurangzeb and Modi, stating that the Mughal emperor “was born in Gujarat” and “buried in Maharashtra”.

“Balasaheb Thackeray would be pained to see what Shiv Sena (UBT) is into. It roped in a Mumbai blast accu-sed to garner votes,” the PM added.
The state BJP had alleged on Thursday that Iqbal Moosa, alias Baba Chauhan, a 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case convict who spent 10 years in jail, was seen campaigning for UBT Sena’s Amol Kirtikar, MVA’s Mumbai North West candidate.
Modi said that Congress was keen on religion-based reservation that would create problems for the SC, ST and OBC communities.
“The Congress govt in Karnataka ensured that a sizeable OBC quota could be availed by Muslims. The party will implement the Karnataka model if it comes to power at the Centre. But I will now allow reduction of the quota for dalits, SCs, STs and OBCsbased on religious lines,” he added.
The PM said Congress has not worked for the tribal people. “It did not want a tribal to become the country’s President. It does not respect adivasis,” he said.
On Thursday, PM Modi had in Telangana said, referring to Sam Pitroda’s controversial remarks about people from different parts of India, “I want to ask these, Balasaheb Thackeray's... nakli Shiv Sena's santaans… Remember Balasaheb Thackeray... I want to ask these nakli santaans, and I would like to ask their mentor, a senior leader, these people (Sam Pitroda) have said people from Western India look like Arabs. Do the people of Maharashtra accept such language?”
