shot dead a member of a particularly vulnerable

tribal

group during a raid at the house of a wanted

criminal

in Sundarpahari in Jharkhand's Godda on Wednesday, reports .
Police had gone to nab Benedik Hembrom in an extortion case when Harinarayan Pahadiya, 30, ran out of the house and received a bullet wound on his left shoulder.

Hembrom, out on bail, managed to flee, said police.
Pahadiya had no criminal antecedent, SP Nathu Singh Meena said. "ASI Rajnath Yadav has been booked and sent to judicial custody. The officer in-charge was suspended for dereliction of duty," the SP added.
