city witnessed a mesmerizing International City
Parade
held along the
RK Beach
and Indian Navy’s air power demonstration on Thursday. The RK Beach reflected a war zone as well as a tourist spot, with thousands of people lining up the beach to watch the two events, which were held as a part of the Indian Navy’s largest-ever multilateral naval exercise

The Indian Navy displayed its maritime, air and onshore capabilities, putting forth the might of its fleets. The MIG 29K fighter aircrafts combat manoeuvring and the composite flypast of the helicopters and aircrafts enthralled the spectators during the air Power Demonstration. The combat freefall by the Navy’s skydiving team and the pyro-dynamics display by the aerial team were some of the major attractions. Vizagites also witnessed a remarkable sight as the illustrious majestic aircraft carriers INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya graced the coastal waters anchoring off the shore.
The parade painted a vibrant picture of the diverse cultures and the air resonated with patriotic music as marching bands from India and other friendly foreign navies enthralled the spectators. The Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt was the chief guest of the international city parade and air power demonstration on Thursday.
The city parade featured participation from a variety of groups and various navies showcased their presence in the parade. The international city parade held a special place in the hearts of the spectators. Witnessing navies from diverse nations march in unison bought immense excitement. The cultural performance by Navy band groups added a unique and entertainment dimension to the event.
The formation of flypast, demo by naval aircrafts and helicopters, the operations by marine commandos as well as the illumination of the warships and dazzling display of fireworks and the colourful parade have mesmerized us, said N Dheerej, a Class-VII Student and resident of Vizag city.
With the various events during the MILAN-2024, Vizag city became a stage for a remarkable showcase of maritime power, cultural exchange, and international collaboration.
