The ‘
Substance
’ actress’s dress at the Met Gala is one to remember. The bust of the outfit resembles the knot on a men’s tie, while the skirt is meant to embody the rest of the structure. While it may seem simple, there were things that set it apart from everyone at the event.
Demi Moore even fashioned the loop of a tie that goes around your neck in the most fashionable way. The dress featured a large loop structure that encircled her head and gave off the impression of a necktie’s loop.
More than 7,600 hours of workmanship
The dress not only holds a unique structure but is also bedazzled to the edge, making it even more special. According to reports from Vogue, the dress was covered in around 1,400,000 beads. This includes the 22,000 pieces of black rectangle sequins that gave the dress that shimmery look, as well as the 103,500 pieces of black cut beads. The dress is also fashioned around 1,093,500 pieces of black bugle beads. This work of art was studded to the core and took more than 7,600 hours to make!
To complete the look and balance it, the actress wore a slicked-back hairdo, which she paired with pearl earrings, silver cuffs on each wrist and some cutesy pom-pom block-heel pumps.
The Met Gala queen
Moore has made more than one appearance at the Met Gala in the past years and has managed to awe everyone with her beauty and creativity every single time. In last year’s fundraiser, the actress showed up to the red carpet dolled up in 10 carats of Cartier high jewellery. Her dress was another spectacle on its own, as it featured a body-hugging bodice with a heart-shaped structure surrounding the upper body.
