LUCKNOW: BSP chief

Mayawati

on Saturday reiterated her party’s stance to go solo in the Lok Sabha elections and dismissed

rumours

of the party forming any electoral alliance.
“BSP is fighting Lok Sabha polls in the country with complete preparation and full might. In such a situation, spreading rumours about forming an electoral alliance or third front is fake and wrong news,” she posted on X.
“Our political rivals in UP are restless because the BSP is contesting elections alone with great strength. That is why they keep trying to mislead people by spreading rumours,” Mayawati stated. Mayawati said keeping in mind the interest of bahujan samaj (SC/STs and minorities) BSP has decided to go solo in the Lok Sabha elections.
She asked the media not to report such fake news and appealed to the people to remain careful.

Earlier, Mayawati had announced that her party would not join either the BJP-led NDA or the INDIA bloc because past experiences with alliances did not go well for BSP.
However speculations continue in political circles that the BSP president may spring a last minute surprise by announcing a

poll pact

, probably with the Congress.
