Maoists kill villager, allege he was police informer

Maoists

shot dead a villager in Chhattis-garh’s

Kondagaon

on Friday, accusing him of being a

police

informer. This is the second such murder in Bastar division in less than a week. Victim was

Dinesh Kumar Mandavi

(33) of Timri village. Police have registered a case and are trying to identify the killers. Mandavi’s kin told police that he was returning with his brother-in-law after attending a wedding when Maoists waylaid him.

They shot him and fled.
