Man stabbed near Times Square, bike stolen: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was stabbed and his bike stolen near Times Square Tuesday evening, according to the NYPD. 

The 36-year-old was stabbed in the stomach around 11:15 p.m. on Eighth Avenue near 45th Street, police said. The two attackers, suspected to be an 18- and 28-year-old, took his bike, police said.

The two suspected attackers were caught just a block away and the man was rushed to an area hospital, according to police.

In May, another man was stabbed with a machete in Times Square around 1 p.m., police said. He was hospitalized and the suspects were taken into custody, police said.
