Man seeks 'refuge' in OYO room to beat Bengaluru heat. Company reacts

Bengaluru is grappling with a significant challenge these days - scorching heat. While the city is famous for its pleasant climate, the mercury has risen significantly, causing inconvenience for residents. One person, named Rishabh Srivastava, humorously compared the situation to a shift from "chill" to "grill," which caught the attention of OYO.

Well, it began from a post on X in which Rishabh said that to protect himself from the scorching heat, he took refuge in an OYO hotel. He said he couldn't survive without AC any more.

"Looks like Bangalore weather decided to level up from chill to grill. Can't survive without AC any more. Checked into @oyorooms as a refugee," reads the caption.

Reacting to Rishabh's post, OYO Rooms joined in the conversation, and gave a witty twist to the situation. They said, "Bangalore, you had one job. But now, we’re doing it."

Also, the company CEO Ritesh Agarwal supported the company's official account's stance and reshared the post as well.

Amid the ongoing heatwave in Karnataka's capital, a video has been doing the rounds of the internet since last week in which a kind-hearted man can be seen offering water bottles to traffic police officers battling the sweltering conditions. Social media users praised the man, calling him one of the city's "unsung heroes".

As of today's report for Bengaluru, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 to 36 degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours.
