Man killed in mishap, son nephew injured

tanker driver

was detained for fatally knocking down a 37-year-old man, while his one-and-half year old nephew and nine-year-old son sustained injuries at

Ghodbunder road

on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as

Jagnnath Parab

(37) involving a tanker's collision on Sunday, said a police officer.
The incident occurred at around 11 am as Parab, accompanied by his son Arnav, was heading towards the Haware City area from Ghodbunder road on a bike.

“The tanker collided with their vehicle in which Parab died on the spot. His son and nephew are presently undergoing treatment at the private hospital,” said a police officer.

Following a complaint filed by Parab’s relatives against the tanker driver Rajkumar Pawar, Kasarvadavli Police have detained him for further investigation, the officer added.
An offence is registered against Pawar under various sections of the Indian penal code for negligence and other sections of motor vehicle act.
