MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was struck in the head with a cellphone on the No. 6 subway in Manhattan overnight Monday, according to the NYPD.
It happened around 12:04 a.m. on a train at the Lexington Avenue/51st Street station. Police said a 32-year-old man saw a fight between two people and tried to break it up when a cellphone was thrown at him.
It struck the man in the back of the head, causing a laceration, according to authorities.
The victim was able to point out the suspect, who was arrested at the station, police said.
