MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- A man is accused of slitting his girlfriend's throat with two knives in her Brooklyn home last week, authorities said.
John Roseau, 32, allegedly killed 26-year-old Dahana Jean inside 1886 New York Ave. in Midwood on June 9, according to the criminal complaint.
Officers conducting a wellness check found Jean with a neck injury in the home on the night of June 12, according to the NYPD. The medical examiner deemed the incident a homicide.
Roseau, a Brooklyn resident, allegedly confessed to the killing, telling investigators he slit the victim's throat, according to the criminal complaint.
The defendant pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Saturday and is being held without bail, according to court records.
Roseau's attorney could not immediately be reached Monday.
