Mahindra Scorpio, Thar, XUV700 waiting period explained for all variants

Are you planning to book the Mahindra Scorpio-N, Mahindra Scorpio Classic, Mahindra Thar or Mahindra XUV700? With the country's largest SUV manufacturer enhancing its capacity, the waiting period for its SUVs has significantly come down.

As of February 1, Mahindra had around 226,000 open bookings with 101,000 for the Scorpio (including N and Classic), 71,000 for the Thar and 35,000 for the XUV700. The company has already announced that it will close FY24 with a capacity of 49,000 units per month.

Higher capacity has resulted in lower waiting periods for the Mahindra SUVs, be it the Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Thar or XUV700.

Lower waiting period on Mahindra SUVs

According to our dealer sources, the Mahindra Scorpio-N now has seven to nine weeks waiting on some of its variants. While you can get the Scorpio Classic in 10 to 12 weeks, the Thar can be had in nine to 11 weeks. The waiting period has come down to almost four weeks on select trims of the XUV700.

The Scorpio-N is available in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L variants in petrol MT/AT and diesel MT/AT options. Below is the variant-wise waiting period in weeks.
