Made-in-India Aprilia RS 457 storms to UK market: Priced at Rs 6.79 lakh!

The

Aprilia RS 457

, which was recently launched in India at Rs 4.1 lakh, ex-showroom, has officially landed in the

UK market

, roaring onto the scene with a competitive price tag of GBP 6,500 (approx

Rs 6.79 lakh

). The

sports bike

will be manufactured in India at the company’s

Baramati facility

and exported to the UK.
The RS 457 packs a sporty punch with its aluminium frame, 41mm USD front forks, and mono-shock rear suspension, with pre-load adjustments on both ends.

Braking duties are performed by disc brakes on both 17-inch wheels. The RS 457 features three riding modes - Eco, Rain, and Sport - along with on-the-fly adjustable traction control. Other notable features include all-LED lighting, 5-inch TFT dash, anti-roll system, ABS, and more.

Speaking of the engine, the RS 457 houses a 457 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that belts out 47 hp and 43.5Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring slip and assist clutch. Additionally, it gets a ride-by-wire system and an optional bi-directional quick-shifter. This feature set, coupled with its sharp design and aggressive riding position, positions the RS 457 as a serious contender in the entry-level sportsbike segment in India.

The motorcycle can be had in three colour options, including, Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light - available both in India and in the UK. These colours have drawn inspiration from Aprilia's championship-winning bikes.
