LUCKNOW: In a

twisted tale

of love, jealousy, and

betrayal

, a man aided by his accomplices strangled his lover's husband to death in the early hours of Sunday in Gudumba. The meticulously planned crime unraveled when a vigilant patrolling team intercepted the culprits, leading to a confession of their heinous deed.
Shiv Kumar Yadav, the prime accused, orchestrated the murder of his girlfriend's husband, Guruprasad Yadav, with the help of two friends at the victim's residence in Gudumba. Poonam Yadav, the deceased's wife, allegedly colluded in the plot by facilitating the entry of the perpetrators into her home.
The perpetrators attempted to flee the crime scene but were apprehended by constables Ramesh Kumar and Bijendra Sharma during their nightly patrol. Under interrogation, the accused divulged details of the murder, prompting a police team to rush to the scene and recover Guruprasad's body, which was later sent for post-mortem examination.
Contrary to the initial claim by Poonam Yadav that Guruprasad died after falling from the bed, further investigation revealed the gruesome reality of his murder. Guruprasad Yadav, a 40-year-old private security guard from Kalyanpur Vihar, leaves behind his wife Poonam and two sons, Arpit and Ankit.

Poonam Yadav confessed to her involvement in the crime, citing Guruprasad's alleged alcohol-fueled abuse as a catalyst for the

deadly

plot. Financial strain compounded the situation, prompting Poonam to seek employment, where she crossed paths with Shiv Kumar Yadav, initiating a clandestine affair.
The affair between Poonam and Shiv Kumar Yadav flourished, leading them to conspire against Guruprasad, whom they perceived as an impediment to their relationship. In the early hours of Sunday, Shiv Kumar Yadav, accompanied by his friends Raj Gautam and Ravi Verma, carried out the fatal act of strangling Guruprasad to death.
Inspector Gudamba Nitish Kumar Srivastava confirmed the arrests of Shiv Kumar Yadav, Raj Gautam, Ravi Sharma, and Poonam Yadav on charges of murder. Investigations into the motive and execution of the crime are ongoing as authorities seek to bring justice to the victim and his grieving family.
